What’s this from? UK Skins?

Nope! UK Being Human. :-) it’s a few seasons in, though. Great show. :-)

It’s so sad that we have always call things UK Skins and UK Being Human now. 

Please, America, your original shows are so good. You don’t need our ideas. If you like our ideas, help us out and just broadcast the originals.

The same goes for foreign movies.

I sort of agree with you. I saw a couple episodes of US Being Human and, while I wasn’t disappointed, I wasn’t impressed, either. However, I think Americanizing some British shows are helping Americans get into British television. I know a few people who, after finishing off US Being Human, watched the UK version because they couldn’t get enough. Then they tried Doctor Who and Sherlock. I mean, the original UK versions are just plain better, but if the American version gets a broader audience into a show… I can’t be too upset.

But why go to all the trouble of even remaking them. Surely if they just broadcast the origins at prime time and advertised them just as well they’d have just as many viewers? Surely foreign accents aren’t THAT much of a deterrence? Americans go crazy for other British things.
